What training does the Data Use for School Improvement Team offer?
Training on the Navigator Portal, EVAAS, MAP data use, School Improvement Planning, Root Cause Analysis, the Accountability Model, and other school data use needs are offered and customized to meet your learning needs. How do I access the Navigator Portal?
The Navigator Portal can be accessed by visiting navigator.cms.k12.nc.us. The only personnel with automatic access to the CMS Navigator Portal are the superintendent, principal, and teacher of record. All additional personnel needing access to the CMS Navigator Portal must entered by the principal or department supervisor into the Access Manager. Directions for granting access are posted on the Navigator Portal homepage.
How do I access MAP reports?
The NWEA platform for MAP data can be accessed by visiting this link. Additional information related to MAP can be found on the www.cmsmap.weebly.com website.
How do I access EVAAS data reports?
EVAAS data is accessed via the https://ncdpi.sas.com/ website. To gain access to your EVAAS data, principals must set up an account for you. Directions for granting access to EVAAS are posted on the Data Use for School Improvement intranet site for EVAAS.
Where can I go to access Common Core data trackers?
Common Core data trackers for every subject and every grade level have been developed for you to use to monitor your students’ progress. To access these resources, visit the Data Use for School Improvement intranet site for Common Core Data Trackers.
Where can I go to access information related to School Improvement Planning?
The Data Use for School Improvement intranet site for School Improvement Planning is your one-stop-shop for everything related to SIPs and Safety Plans.

Where would I find information about state tests?
Information about state exams including test specifications, released test forms, and achievement levels can be found at http://www.ncpublicschools.org/accountability/
School Testing Coordinators and Principals also have access to SharePoint which provides additional information on the administration procedures for each state assessment and the testing calendar.
Where would I find historical test scores?
Historical test scores for students can be found in PowerSchool, CMS Portal, and the cum folder.
Which tests will be administered online during the 2015-2016 school year?
English II EOC, Grade 8 Science EOG, and ACCESS for ELLs 2.0 will be administered online this year.
